Hello, 6 days before i started using seamly, Im fairly new and dont have a good understanding of the program, so I asked AI to help me make formula measurements. I finished making the jacket and adding all the details, and used an image tool work surface to help me see how it turned out. However when I tried to do gradation of the sizes, it wrecked my pattern. I took a standard EU size 58, and after finishing i tried changing the size from 58 to 56, however the height length didnt change. Since im new I dont know which size corresponds to which height length, so i cant change it manually. and the program doesnt change it automatically.. I was wondering if anyone could help me and guide me on how to fix this. Thank you.

The magic of resizing in Seamly2D is dependant on the measurement file which is created in SeamlyME and then loaded into Seamly2D.
There are very few pattern making systems that actually use the Height resizing as it was intended to be used. Most systems give the height measurements in the measurement chart according to size. For this reason, I ignore the Heights increments and only use the Size increments and include a “Lengthen/Shorten Here” on the pattern for people who taller or shorter than what is catered for in the pattern.
I suggest that you take a little time out and go through the Manual on the Wiki to gain some understanding of the software and how to set up your Multisize Measurements Chart.

Each and every formula needs to either reference a measurement in SeamlyME or another item in the pattern that is based on a measurement that will resize when the size changes, otherwise you will get a mess when you resize your pattern. This is the same for lengths and angles. For every direct number used in a formula, there is the potential that the pattern will go out of whack when it’s resized.
I think that AI is amazing at helping with formulas, however, I think that it doesn’t quite understand the way that pattern making is dependant on measurements.
