How to add labels for line lengths (or custom variables)

Here’s another one which is free to use & open source:

It’s browser based and does the whole process from calibration, to stitching of multipage PDF files, to the actual projection of the pattern.

For further advice, guides, & other resources there’s a Facebook group Projectors for Sewing; or if you’d rather steer clear of Facebook there’s also https://sashasewist.info, and/or https://projectorsewing.com, who both have lots of info.

I’ve just picked up a lightly used Casio UST that has an ultra longlife (≥20k hours!) hybrid Laser/LED light source (so no expensive bulb changes needed every 2-3k hours). I just need to get/make a suitable floor/table mount for it & I’m all set.

Here’s my projector setup:
Viewsonic P600 “long throw” projector that can project large pattern pieces for pants, etc. It hangs from the ceiling using a Universal projector mount and points down towards the cutting table. An old Windows laptop is connected to the projector with an HDMI cable.

Pattern Projector software works great. If you use this software, please donate $20 to its upkeep, just as you would donate to Seamly (!). The patterns are projected onto a rectangular dining table that has a 4’ x 8’ cutting mat on it and that has been raised using table risers.
