Inkstitch embroidery software!

Has anyone compared recent versions of Inkstitch to other digitizers? Getting back to embroidery, and temporarily had to switch to a free soft. Any recommendations maybe (for Brother PE770)?

Hope that’s ok to bump my question as I haven’t got any replies. And it’s been weeks.

Inkstitch has a new release: Ink/Stitch v1.27.2: Tons of fixes - Ink/Stitch

It has been used and recommended by EduTech in the EU. They used Inkstitch for their workshops in Summer 2019: https://edutechwiki.unige.ch/en/Machine_embroidery_in_education_workshop_(EdMedia2019)

Also, on their wiki page for Inkstitch, they state “Ink/Stitch is in our opinion the best open source and free embroidery digitizing software”. InkStitch - EduTech Wiki
