Which feature… we kind got off track there.

  1. Loading Default label templates set in the prefs

  2. Images in labels

  3. Zipping a project - which would depend on implementing #2

I think pre-setting the default labels in the prefs is a good idea. It will probably hilight a need for alterations to the templates dialogs though.

Images in the Pattern Labels might be nice. I would like that.

As a separate file would be good. I’d want it for a logo, so if all my patterns could reference the same picture file that would be efficient.

I think ZIP is cool, but unless it truly cuts down on HD space I’d rather just use folders. However, I know it has usefulnesses which I am unfamiliar with at this time.

This gave me the idea that, if the person is only designing for one company, the logo image can go in the templates file along with the default label template, and it can also have a path in the App Preferences.

Zip (or rar) have a dula function. One is that they compress the files for not only saving storage space, but for faster transfer speeds. The other function they provide is packaging files together so there’s only 1 file instead of multiple. files.

For example… one simple use is providing a pattern & measurements here on the forums. Users always have to send 2 files, instead of the project just zipped.It would just make it easier if the App could just collect the files and zip them. Down the road we may have more files like images, logos, spec sheets. must lists, etc… to deal with.
