I’m new to Seamly and I can’t use the “Add new pattern piece” tool. some lines are not taken by the tool and remain dark not red. Can you help me?
Hello & welcome to the forum, @Milena.Machado
You need to select the nodes and the curves in a clockwise direction, in the order that you want them to appear. There’s no need to select any lines. They are automatically generated between the points (nodes). Curves and arcs have a little arrowhead on the line which shows the direction it was made in. If the arrowhead is showing anti-clockwise, hold down the shift key while selecting it, which will reverse its direction for the pattern piece.
I’m sorry that I’m answering so quickly, but my internet is about to fade out on me. I hope this helps.
Welcome Melina…
Just to add to what @Grace said… if you are also adding a point on a curve - say for a notch - you need to select the 1st curve seg, the point, then the next curve segment… and so on if there are additional points on the curve. If you don’t add the curve segments between points, it will just draw a straight line between the points. Also if you miss a point or curve node when creating a pattern piece - don’t worry - you can always insert nodes to the piece’s path at any time.
