Bad ID - 68 - Bug

Hi so anyone can explain why I got this?

I’m just getting into the N,P new piece function and figuring out the pattern pieces after drafting and I seem to be clicking things unusually or in a way seamly doesn’t like because the program keeps on getting terminated and I have to reopen it and continue where I left off.

Happened again, pretty much every time I try to create a new pattern piece… I select the tool > select my first point > receive the error message > program is terminated > I re-open Seamly > start making a new pattern piece and then it works fine… until I get back to making another piece, and terminated again.

@Stephanie_C, Please upload the pattern and measurement file so we can look into it.

I haven’t finished looking at it, but right off the bat when I made a change and saved, this message appeared:

So I clicked yes to update it to the latest version.

Which means she would have to update to the latest release to open the pattern if you were to send it back to her.

Whch I suggest anyhow as that might solve the issue right there.

@Stephanie_C

Yeah… I looked at the pattern… it works fine for me, so I suggest to updating to the latest relese.

Yeah, all I can suggest is updating Seamly, rebooting your computer, & trying again.

I believe object id=68 is point P2, which is definitely there.

Thank you, I’ve wanted to update but found it a bit daunting… I hope I don’t randomly delete all my stuff while installing the newest version

It won’t. If you’re using the Windows version you can just select a different folder to install the new version in. I usually put the date in the folder name so I can go back and run an older version if I have to… I have these currently on my laptop with dozens more on an external drive.

Your actual patterns and measurements should be stored in the Seamly2D folder in the users directory which the installation does not touch.

Anyhow… Once you update the apps please let us know if the problem is fixed or we need to investigate further.

Hi, I have been away so I don’t know yet if that problem is resolved, but I should find out soon enough.

I’ve encountered another issue, I think I installed the update incorrectly. I get this message when I open the app and also when I select “new” file

Have you tried to reboot? Or using taskmgr.exe to kill all Seamly2D & SeamlyMe processes?

Sorry for never responding… I didn’t do anything and the problem went away on its own
