Hello,
I wanted to change the origin point of a Intersect Line & Axis Point and I choose the wrong point… obviously the file crashed, but now my file has saved for a reason I don’t know and I can’t open it again without it being broken.
When I open the file, nothing shows except the line caused by the broken point.
I have others drafts blocks, so I can go on them and see my pattern stil there and the endless line who causes the problem, but when I return on the first draft block nothing shows again.
I wish there would be a way to select the broken point without clicking on it and delete it. I can’t select anything on this draft block. I went on History and the broken point is there (139) but I can’t go back in time or delete it.
What can I do ? I have 3 days of work on it, I can’t delete it, and the 2 others drafts block depends on the first one. How can I fix it please ?
Hello ! By luck I found a backup of my file on my cloud that I was able to restore, and I went with it. I’m relieved !
Thanks for your answer and for your welcome ! I have benn using Seamly2D for a few years now and it’s a real wonder for work, thanks for this software.
It’s also possible to edit the XML backend of the pattern file with a plaintext or code editor, which is the method @Grace would have used to fix it, but it’s a bit risky.
In the future don’t panic if a pattern crashes on you… the pattern file format is pretty forgiving, and there’s a few of us that can usually save most if not all of patterrn.
