Hi, the software slows down and then crashing every time I try to chage the path line settings. I have a Macbook (10 years old) with macOS Catalina. Is the problem with the computer or the software? Thank you

We had a similar problem a while back and it turned out that it was caused by a pattern piece. Once a particular pattern piece was deleted, everything worked normally again. It turned out that there was a node or something that was out of order in a pattern piece that was causing the whole file to recalculate everything every time something was changed.
Can you remember when this started slowing down? What did you do shortly before it became slow?
If you send me your pattern and measurement file, I can check it for you.

Hi Grace, thanks for the reply. I’m only reading now because I couldn’t log in to the forum anymore. I didn’t notice if the problem arose after a certain model step but it did on multiple models.
I solved it by no longer changing those settings because I needed to finish the job quickly. Thank you

Thank you for sharing how you solved the problem. Now I’m wondering why you couldn’t log into the Forum… However, I’m happy that you also solved that problem. 
Ahaha it didn’t recognize my credentials and I couldn’t do the recovery, also I had to finish the model as soon as possible and I made do as I could. Now I opened a new topic (I hope I did well) because I have a new problem

The problem is most likely caused by the age of your hardware a 10 year old macbook running macos catalina. Older technology struggles to meet current software demands; particularly for complex activities such as path line settings in design applications.
