If the draft window contents exceed the window dimensions, swiping left or right in the draft window does not scroll the window contents horizontally using magic mouse on Mac. The horizontal scroll bar appears, but nothing happens. Explicitly dragging the horizontal scroll bar works as expected. Vertically scrolling by swiping up or down on the mouse works as expected.
I am using 2024.8.5.155 on an Intel Mac running Sonoma 14.5
Because swiping is not implimented yet on Mac, Windows, or Linux. Not high on the list of things ToDo.

You can also use the space bar to hand-pan.
Yes you can… hold the spacebar while dragging the touchscreen. Personally I find scrolling and panning a pain - I just use the mouse wheel to zoom out and in, and just by the placement of the mouse determines where you’re zooming in, in effect scrolling.

You should also be able to side-scroll by holding the shift key while scrolling.
And just a note… depending on whether you check this box or not… detemnes whether you scroll vertically with the control key or zoom. Since I rarely scroll, I hate having to hold the ctrl to zoom, so that’s why I added that preference. Unchecking the box means you can just zoom to wherever with one hand.
