Hi everyone, can someone please help me, i tried to update my app and this is the error message that popped out, what can i do please?

Hi @Ashtag, Welcome to Seamly! You’ll see at the top of the forum here a link to Download latest, which links to a post with download links to all the latest releases. Or you could check Releases · FashionFreedom/Seamly2D · GitHub if you prefer a more gritty computing experience.
As for the error, If you would post which OS & Seamly release date you’re using, one of the devs will be around in a bit to see about figuring out the problem.

I just checked and I had no issue with the Check for updates download. Have you tried downloading it again? Could have just been a bad connection.
In any case like @Pneumarian said you can always download the latest release directly from Github.

Handshake errors can be caused by incorrect system time, browser misconfiguration, and firewall misconfigurations.
Try these:

Check your computer’s date and time. Your computer’s date & time are usually handled automatically, but check anyway just so you know it’s correct.

Disable extensions in your browser and try the ‘Update’ again.

Set your default browser to another browser (for example: if your default browser is Edge, set your default to Chrome, Firefox, etc.)

Add github.com to trusted site: in Windows 11, a) Open Control Panel > Network and Internet > Internet Options → this opens Internet Properties dialog. b) In Internet Options click on the Security Tab c) Select the Trusted Sites green checkmark icon d) Click on the Sites button e) Enter ‘https://github.com’ in the Add this website to the zone: field f) Close & OK to apply changes
Try it again. You may need to close & reopen your browser, or clear its cache.
