Hello There

Hello Everyone! I am a SAHM, a novice designer, and I am now going to be experimenting with drafting patterns and pattern grading. My hope is to be able to share or even sell my designs someday so that others can sew them, too! (And so I can afford to design even more :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:) I am hoping that I will be able to figure this program out at least enough to make patterns for my own size but Iโ€™m not sure where to start. I learn best from watching and doing, so if there are any follow-along tutorial videos I would love a link or two  Anyways, Greetings!

Hello and welcome to the Seamly forum, @GossamerNoir

What an exciting journey!

I suggest that you start with this tutorial to become acquainted with the process of drafting a pattern through to printing it in Seamly. Itโ€™s a short, basic but complete tutorial. There is a video on Youtube, but the software has changed so much since it was created that itโ€™s almost not worth watching, and the tutorial has a lot of images to help you.

Once you have completed the tutorial, there are many videos on the Wiki that can help you.
