but this is not what I hoped to ask. The line Needs to be square on BC. NOT on AB.

Make the angle formula “line BC -90°”.

Not sure why I’m awake, should be asleep.. but here’s another solution. Since it’s a right angle and we’re given the angle and adjacent side, we can use the Tan trig function to solve for the length of the opposite side.
