How To Create Pattern Cutting Layout For Mass Production?
Do we need to import all the patterns in all sizes one by one or can we do It at once?
Can we see how much fabric do we require for the desired production order?
Etc.

Great question. We’re working on this feature.
I’m currently working a Marker feature where initially you’ll be able to manually create a marker for paper or fabric fabric sizes. Once that’s working I willl adapt the current layout engine so it can automate the marker process… at which point the Layout Mode will go away as you can just create a paper print marker. Also the objective is to be able to save multiple markers - such as a range of multisize patterns - then combine those to use as a nest.
That will be one of the features of the marker.
Thanks for the answers.
This would be a very welcome feature! I believe the commercial apps are using AI these days to refine the process. Might be an interesting project, training up one of the OS AI models to lay out cutting patterns. Is this on the roadmap, or are you using more traditional methods?
Welcome to Seamly @Tullochgorum!
At the moment I know that just being able to apply human intelligence to creating a layout in Seamly is what’s on the workbench. However, I think that AI layout, like Seamly3D, is something which we’d be happy to put on the roadmap if we could find a generous pilot with experience in those waters.
Yes, an AI application to create an efficient layout (e.g. - marker) is in the roadmap.
