How To Export Pattern File Without The Guide Lines

While drawing patterns I use guide lines. Which is regular lines but these are red.

Guide lines are not a term for Seamly2D. I don’t know If there are a different type for lines.

After finishing my pattern how can I export the pattern without the guide lines?

When you trace off the pattern the only lines that will show are the lines between the points chosen. Also the curves selected. So make sure your curves all have points at either end.

Just to expand on what @Pneumarian has said…

Once you have finished drafting your pattern, then you need to create the pattern pieces. To do this, you need to select the Add New Pattern Piece tool:

Click on each point and curve on the outline of your pattern:

Continue around the pattern piece in a clockwise direction until you have clicked on the last point or curve before the starting point, and hit Enter:

(Be sure to select the point at the start and at the end of a curve.)

Give your pattern a name and a quantity to be cut (or On Fold) and click on OK:

Then you can go to Piece mode to add labels and to export your pattern:

There are a lot of other things that you can do, so I suggest that you work through this very short tutorial to learn how to do them.

Ok.

As far as I understand Pattern Block has guide lines etc.

Then we create Pattern Piece by tracing the nodes of only the lines which are we want to print.

Thank you very much for the answers.

Exactly. A draft block is there only to create the points and curves. Then you connect the points and curves to create Pattern Pieces. You can create any number of pieces from the same block. For ex:

Draft Block:

4 Different Pattern Peces traced from Draft Block:

The seam allowance , labels, colors, fills etc are details added to the pieces in Piece Mode.
