How To Show Measurements On The Pattern? (like 100 cm, 10 cm etc.)

Currently, that is not an option unless you export the pattern to Inkscape and type them in.

Could put the measurements in one of the labels, but it would be hard coded and not automatically change with a change in measurements. Easier though than having to add them in a 3rd party app.

Definitely on my list of feature additions… that is to be able to insert measurements into a label template.

Hey! Any news on this subject? I’m still interested in displaying values from measurements or formulas in labels. For simple pieces, I would love to show the length/width directly in the label.

In the big picture I don’t think this really fits the “labels” as there are only 2 of them and thier use is really to display Pattern and Piece information… not to act as dimension lines. That being said it’s quite feasible that this could fit in with the symbols feature I’m working on, where either the Text symbol or the text part of the Arrow (<---->) symbol could use the pattern measurement variables as placeholders. The challenge would be the list of measurement placeholders which would have to be dynamic, rather than fixed like the placeholders in the labels. That means they would have to be stored with the pattern instead of being hardcoded in the application. Not a trival task.
