I can't open any of my files

I am getting this message when I try to open my files. It only just started happening now.

Welcome, so sorry to see that this issue is what brought you to the forum.

I hope you have backups, because it looks like something ate your measurement file. How were you using it? So far this appears to happen when users have multiple files accessing measurement files in one session. Hence the warning at the top of the sceen here on the forum. But if you can shed additional light on the issue, the devs would be grateful for any clues that might help them fix the issue.

If you still have the file open in Me, you can save it to restore the file.

Thank you for your reply, I didn’t realise this would create an issue. I work on multiple patterns at the same time using the same measurement chart. Will try to avoid in future.

Is it the measurement file that is corrupted or my patterns? I will try to open on a separate laptop to see if it resolves the issue.

I hope you have a copy of your measurement file on the laptop because I think this one could be totally blank. If it isn’t blank, then there will be a number of blank lines between the data lines which will need to be removed in a text editor.

If you upload your measurement file here, someone will have a look and repair it for you (if they can).

I think I have a copy on another laptop, so i will try to replace it. I will work on patterns one at a time in future and make sure I keep a copy of my measurements separately, to avoid having the same problem.

I’d suggest that you keep a backup of the pattern files, as well. I keep a backup of my whole pattern and measurement folders on an external drive. I update them about once a month.

Always a good idea to backup everything… that being said I have a fix for the issue, and I would expect it to be in this weekend’s release. It won’t be a problem with the fix opening multiple patterns with the same measurement file.
