Importing SeamlyMe measurements into Seamly2D

Hello!

I have some experience drafting patterns on paper, so I’m familiar with the basic concepts for doing so.

I’ve added custom measurements into SeamlyMe, as I’m using Sven Jungclaus’ Expert’s guide to men’s tailoring, and none of his measurements seem to have counterparts in the standard SeamlyMe options (they’re either nonexistent or don’t seem to exist for men - the default appears to be women’s measurements?). I’ve saved the SeamlyMe file, but here’s my problem…

I can’t load it into Seamly2D!

Clearly I’m missing something crucial - any help would be greatly appreciated!

AHA!

so the workflow is

  1. enter measurements into SeamlyMe, save file.
  2. open Seamly2D
  3. select “New” to begin a new pattern
  4. select “Load individual” from the “Measurements” drop-down menu, and choose the desired .vit file
  5. start drafting!
