Seamly2D always lag toward the end of my complicated projects, especially when I try to adjust curves and move many pieces around.
My CPU utilization is not even at 5%. I have Ryzen 9 and 64GB RAM. All that power is wasted.
I don’t want to spend more time optimizing the draft. I hope Seamly2D can brute force it way using the available hardware to make the experience smoother.
I had a similar problem on the forum quite a long time ago and then the same problem just about a week ago.
Please check that none of your curve handles are facing the wrong way, and then check that all your nodes in the pattern pieces are going clockwise and there isn’t one (that’s perhaps very close to another) that has been switched around.
Every time you move or adjust something, the software needs to refresh the whole pattern, every node, handle, line, pattern piece, etc. and both of these 2 problems can cause the software to enter into a loop of refreshing that can take a long time for the software to figure out what you want.
If you like, I can have a look for you but I’ll need your pattern and measurement files.
I have no doubt I make a lot of mistakes. But that is the point, looking for these mistakes will take times, so I just bear with the lag. Anyway, I’ll sent you the files.
