Any idea what has happened here and how to correct it.
My 1st language is English and I did have A B C etc on my points but now have a different language.

Well you cannot believe what it was, I had accidently clicked on a different font, which was lines and wiggles. There is no hope

I recommend that after fixing the language, you right-click the toolbar area, (or navigate to “Toolbars” at the bottom of the View menu,) & uncheck “Point Name Toolbar” when the menu pops up. That way you won’t accidentally interact with a tool that you probably aren’t ever wanting to interact with anyway.
