I’ve imported measurements from 3d measureup and the units seem to be in cm. When I change to inches in SeamlyMe it looks like the formula still remains in cm. is there a way to change the units to inches?
Hello @emilyli
No, that is a setting that is effected when you create the measurement file, in this case, it’s in the settings in 3D Measureup, which created the file for you.
You can either change the settings in 3D Measure, which would be the proper and faster way, or make a copy of the file, divide each of the values by 2.54, change the value and use a text editor to change the initial cm to inch.
Seamly2D is also quite capable of using a cm .smis in an inches pattern without you needing to think about conversions. So the only reason to convert the measurements for the .smis is to make it easier for you not to forget which system any edits need to use.
only issue is that when i need to add in other measurements it doesn’t seem to allow input by inches.
Multiply the inches by 2.54 and enter the centimeters.
… Or have inch_measurement*2.54
as the formula for the measurement.
