Hi, I am new to Semaly 2D and I am struggling with the size guide and when i try to create it myself it keeps crashing. If possible, can someone please share their size guide with me so that I can import it, it would be a big help. I know I am asking a lot but I would really appreciate it.
Hello and welcome to the Seamly2D Forum, @Chaela_Hall
I don’t understand what you mean by “Size Guide”. Seamly works with SeamlyME files - either individual or multisize measurements. You start a New file, add the measurement areas according to the measurements that you use in your preferred patternmaking system and then you add the measurements.
Each patternmaking system uses different measurement areas which could be different for men and for women. If you navigate to where you have installed the software, open the folder and find the folder samples and then Measurements, there are folders for Individual & multisize measurements. You can double click on any of the measurement files (unfortunately only for men) inside these folders to open them up in SeamlyME, to get an idea on how to go about creating your own measurement files.
You can also read the User Manual in the Wiki which explains how to create your own measurement files and how to use Seamly. Here’s a small (quick) tutorial to get you going.
Here’s a women’s individual measurements chart to get you going: Sample.smis (1.0 KB)
As one of the devs I’m also concerned with what you mean by “crashing”. Is Seamly2D or SeamlyMe actually crashing, as in some way stopped running? Or was it just giving you warnings? If it was indeed crashing - if you can let me know what you were trying to do so I can fix any bugs if need be to prevent the same issue.
