Multisize table not appearing

After saving and entering measurements, I tried to open the Multisize Table by clicking the .* button in the top-right corner, but nothing happens — no new panel opens, and I can’t input other sizes. Here’s what I’ve tried:

  • Restarted SeamlyMe
  • Created a new file from scratch
  • Checked my settings and buttons
  • Verified that I’m in a multisize file and not single size
  • Clicked the .* button multiple times — no response

Is there a bug, or am I missing a step to get the multisize table to appear? Any help would be appreciated!

Welcome to Seamly!

I don’t use multisize often, that’s more a @Grace thing, but here’s what I know:

First of all, when you mouse over the .* button, you will see a tooltip which reads “Seach by regular expression” (@Douglas, I think we found a typo!) So when you click the button all you are doing is turning that search type on or off. A fairly recent addition, I haven’t experimented with searching by regular expression in SeamlyMe yet.

Second, you didn’t mention changing the “In sizes:” number. That’s how you assign different values to the multiple sizes.

I hope that is helpful until @Grace shows up to give a better answer.

Yes you did.

It’s probably overkill as it take some knowledge of regex syntax, but you can do more refined searches. Here’s simple find any te that contains an a or b (case insensitive):

or here any text that contains arm or bust

I just installed a spellchecker plugin for Qt Creator so I’ll be able to spell the code for comments and string literals.

Hello and welcome, @Mestressed2day

As the others have said, the .* button is to do with the search facility.

Currently, the multisize measurements don’t work on uploading each size separately but you enter a base size and add an increment value between each size. For instance, if your base size 76, for a size 30, and the increment value is set to 2, then if you change the size (in the bottom left of the screen in SeamlyME) to 34, then the calculated value will change to 80, size 36 will be 82, etc.

Here’s an image of one of my multisize files:
