hello, i am new here, i am trying to make a new fanny pack pattern, what would the best way to do this be?

Hello, @howtofannypack , and welcome to the Seamly forum.
I’ve never made one and this is a pretty broad question, but I’d take photos or scan the existing pattern, load them into a new file in Seamly and adjust them to exact original size. Then I’d measure certain areas and create width height & depth measurements in the Variables Table where I can easily adjust the measurements later.
And then I’d basically copy the pattern using the measurements in the Variables Table so that the pattern can be resized later, if you wish, with the minimum of effort.
I suggest that you first do a practise run with this tutorial so that you get an idea of how Seamly works.
