Ich arbeite unter Windows, daher kann ich nur vermuten, dass es auf einem Mac nicht anders funktionieren sollte. Im Modus Stück Optionen wählt man den Knoten aus, dem man die Kerbe hinzufügen möchte, markiert ihn als solchen und geht zu Kerben, wählt die Art der Kerbe, die Breite und Länge, etc. Und klicken Sie auf Ok.

I’m on Windows, so I can only think that it shouldn’t work any differently on a Mac. In Piece mode Options, you select the node, that you wish to add the Notch, mark it as such and go to Notches, choose the type of notch, the width & length, etc. And click on Ok.
Ich finde, dass die Länge von 0,25 cm zu gering ist und mache normalerweise 0,5 cm daraus, um besser sichtbar zu sein.
I find that the length, 0.25cm, is too fine and normally make it 0.5cm for better visibilty.
Vielleicht wissen @Douglas oder @Pneumarian etwas darüber, dass dies ein Problem ist?

@sabine68 In case this needs clarified: In the Piece view right-click the piece you want to add a registration mark to, when the menu pops up select Options, right-click the point you wish to have a registration mark, select Notch from the menu which appears.

However, the point does need to be part of the main path. If it is not then you must return to the Draft view either to use the Insert Node tool to help get it wrangled into place, or to re-trace the piece, (which is generally easier when still gaining familiarity with Seamly.)

The wrangling part being going back to piece mode, select the piece, and move the newly inserted node to the proper place in the path, making it a notch, and Enabling it.

I’d love to make it to be able insert nodes from within the Pattern Piece dialog… so you could add notch or anchor points or curves you may have missed. I haven’t looked at the code that close in this regard, but it’s not like the draft or piece data gets cleared just switching modes.

Yes. You need to first make sure in the Application Preferences → Pattern → Notches that the Show second notch on seam line is checked.
Then in the Pattern Piece Tool dialog → Paths → Seam allowance that Seam Allowance is checked. Now you have several options. You can check Built In, which will make All seam allowances zero (0). Or you can set the default seam allowance to zero (0), and any Node point before and after SA formula that uses CurrentSeamAllowance would be a SA width of zero (0) OR you can set your default SA to some positive value, and then selectively set Node point before and after SA to zero (0).
That takes care of your no seam allowance. Last thing you need to do in the Notches tab is select your notches and check whether they will now show on the seam line. If the SA is 0 at the notch, then the option to show that notch on the SA is ignored, as there is no seam allowance.
