I am having problems exporting my pieces in the “Piece” tab, I have never had such an error and I can’t solve it.
The first problem arises when I try to modify the seam allowance, since I want it to look like the back piece (right piece) but for some reason, the nodes get out of configuration and give another shape to the pattern … See next image:
This appears in sizes 34 to 42… Then when I increase from size 44 to 48, a new error appears on the front piece, the back piece simply disappears and only the nothces remain.
I am attaching in a Drive folder the multi-size measurement chart and the pattern I am trying to make so you can help me and see it on your screens: Seamly2D pattern problem - Google Drive
I hope you are having a good day from wherever you read me
I got your pattern & measurements, and I’ll take a look. BTW… If it makes it easier you can just upload the files directly here without need to upload them to Drive.
Firstly, you moved the curve down to the level of A70, but A70 isn’t actually attached to the curve, so it’s causing a break in the seam allowance which is causing that strange behaviour.
If you include the point at the beginning and at the end of the curve in the move, it works out very well.
Here you can see that you did select point A70, but it’s outside of the pattern because it’s not connected to the curve.
A72 has been created to intersect the curve, so the pattern is including it.
This will change the behaviour of the pattern according to the changes in size, since A70 will be at difference places. It would be better to include the start and end points plus the curve in between in the moving of the curve.
Thank you very much! You have solved the problem completely
If I may, I would like to ask you another question. I want to mark in the center of the neckline a notch (both in the front and back body pattern) so that placing the neck piece will be easier.
I have thought of using the one called “VExternal”.
In the front pattern it appears, but in the back it does not… Is there another solution to this problem?
On the back, I changed it to the VInternal. If I use the VExternal, it zips off somewhere and I can’t see where. But the VInternal works on both the back & the front.
