But there is two pattern on the block.
Back Body Pattern and Front Body Pattern.
After tracing the Back Body Pattern (B1, A31, Spline A31-B4, B3, Spline B3-A6, A7, Spline A7-A17, A13) how do I continue to the Front Body Pattern?
While drawing block we continue to drawing and use invisible pen on the line linking the two pattern but maybe here It may cause problems since It adds Seam Allowances etc.
I would like to reply to you, but your pattern making methods are way above my experience. I would have only drafted a quarter of the pattern, given it 2 necklines, created a pattern piece for the whole quarter with one of the necklines and then another pattern piece for the whole quarter using the other neckline, and then printed the pieces.
Then I would have folded the fabric in half, placed the center line of each pattern piece on the fold of the fabric and cut it out.
That depends on usage. Consumer patterns are likely to be cut “on the fold”. Commercial pattern are likely to be cut open… thus the need for a full back. And since the Union tool currently does not support flipping, it needs to be mirrored in Draft mode.
Tha being said I don’t really understad the orginal question… as you can create a pattern piece using any points and curves in a draft block.
Then I’d pick up the piece tool & select A13, left back armhole curve, Ag, A10, back neck curve, A11, A12, right back armhole curve, A14, A16, A15 and then press Enter. Add the piece name “Back” and click on OK.
Then I’d pick up the piece tool & select A13, left front armhole curve, Ag, A10, front neck curve, A11, A12, right front armhole curve, A14, A16, A15 and then press Enter. Add the piece name “Front” and click on OK.
Go to Piece mode and drag the one pattern out of the way & you’ll see that you have 2 pattern pieces… One for the back & One for the front.
But, since you now have the 2 halves, you can just select the points & curves for each one in a clock-wise direction, hit Enter, label it & click on OK when you’re finished with the one and then repeat on the next one.
Each pattern piece is created individually so that only the outlines of each one is there. In Piece Mode, you can edit the seam allowances and the labels, add notches, grain lines, etc.
@optimusprime93 Maybe I misunderstand your question, but my interpretation of what you’re asking for is this:
You can create multiple pattern pieces from a single draft block. You can click on the green plus sign in the Piece tool group in Draft mode to create new blocks.
You can use the same side seams and hem line for your Front and Back pattern pieces, and switch out the armscye curves and neck curves.
