is there a way to get notified when there is a new software update? and do you just redownload app each time?
I mostly just trawl the forum for when @Douglas or @slspencer post that there has been a notable release. Otherwise, there is the: Releases · FashionFreedom/Seamly2D · GitHub. A nominally new release comes out automatically every Monday, but it often doesn’t have any changes from the last one, sometimes for over a month if the devs have had some major setbacks. I assume that one can set a notification for that page using a github account, but have not tried.
& yes, you just redownload the app each time, but shouldn’t need to re-setup.
I hope that answers your questions!
You can use the Hellp-> About menu in Seamly2D to check for updates. You can also check the repo on Github for either weekly releases, or whether there are any “Artifacts” (pre-release builds) created froma PR action.
thank you! i really appreciate it.
