Hi , Just discovered Seamly yesterday and spent a happy couple of hours getting my head around it. I am not from a designer background but consider myself tech-savvy I really could do with the manual but going around in circles to download it Can anyone point me in the right direction.
Hello and welcome to the forum, @Dinah
We’ve been updating the Wiki with the use of the tools, etc. The link is at the top of the page, but here’s a direct link to the User Manual.
The user manual in PDF was written in 2017, so it’s very out-dated. The next step to the up-dating of the Wiki is to create a PDF downloadable manual. Here is a direct link to the old User Manual and one to the old SeamlyME Manual. Both will open in a PDF and you may save them from there.
P.S. Please feel free to leave a message if you have any other problems.
I have had a eureka moment. Your Wiki tab is where all the help is
Well ! I never knew what Wiki meant
It comes from Wikipedia - the free encyclopedia, and now refers to any collaborative website.
Wikipedia’s name is a portmanteau of the words “wiki” and “encyclopedia”, coined by Larry Sanger in January 2001. “Wiki” is a Hawaiian word that means “quick”.
@Grace… Didn’t I suggest a few weeks ago during a meeting we should change the text of Wiki? Or what would make more sense is to add a “Manual” link above to go right to the manuals page on the wiki.
Ooooh, is that what was discussed? I thought it was the link in the software help menu
I still need to spend some time redesigning the front page of the wiki so that it’s more user-friendly… Perhaps next weekend.
I think I was talking about both… As Wiki does not readily imply Manual / Documention / User Guides / Contents . Which BTW is what the 5 apps I have open at the momment call manuals. I checked even some other apps and found Handbook, Online, Help content, Remote Assistance.
Manual(s) and Documentation seem to be more common.
Perhaps someone can create a direct link to the Manual section. I don’t know how to do this and am not too sure if I have the permissions to
Obviously I can do it in the apps, but I have to check & see I can actually edit the forum pages.
